Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Are you having trouble getting your club to qualify for a global grant?

Are you experiencing difficulties opening up a dialogue with your sister clubs about applying for a global grant?

Are you comfortable with providing leadership and guidance to your club members in terms of grant planning, application, and execution?

Are you aware of your obligations when you put your name on the MOU?

Do you find yourself at an impasse when your club members do not respond to your appeals to make a donation to the TRF?

Are your new members well-informed about the powers of the Rotary Foundation and why they should give their support?

If you answered yes to any of the above or simply want to further increase your competitiveness for grants and learn how to better participate in The Rotary Foundation, please consider joining the coming District Foundation Seminar and Grant Management Seminar on November the 15th at the Regal Kowloon Hotel from 9:00am to 4:30pm.

This year we’re going to thoroughly go over our ‘Lessons Learned’ from last year, fill in any holes that need filling, and improve on where we left off. Last year was a transition year to the Future vision plan and new grants system, and while it’s understandable that we would run into a few problems, we don’t have the excuse that we’re getting used to a new system this year. Therefore, we seriously need to reevaluate our performance and learn from our mistakes.

So, let’s get fired up, get the new grants system under control, and most importantly get out there and get involved!

Yours in Rotary,

Shirley Kong
