The future of Hong Kong lies with our children!

District Governor Belinda’s signature project this Rotary year, “Go Go VTC Go”, touches on youth, poverty alleviation, education and vocational training. The mission is a bold endeavor, requiring courage and commitment, but the investment in the younger generation and society of Hong Kong will be long lasting.

The “Go Go VTC Go” project will raise funds for the Vocational Training Council (VTC) for the purpose of providing financial assistance to less-privileged full-time students of the VTC. Funds will be raised from corporate and individual donors, and, of course, from inside our Rotarian family. To date, the District Fundraising Committee has raised in excess of HK$5.6 million. Fundraising will continue until the end of this Rotary Year 2014-15, and your support of District Governor Belinda’s “Go Go VTC Go” signature project is very much welcome!

The VTC is the largest vocational education, training and professional development provider in Hong Kong. Every year, VTC has over 50,000 students undertaking full-time accredited programs. With some 12,000 graduates per year, the VTC supports many Hong Kong businesses and industries with the necessary manpower for continued economic growth.

On September 25, 2014 (Thursday), Rotary International District 3450 and The Vocational Training Council will have a Donation Agreement Signing Ceremony. All Presidents, District Leaders and PDGs are welcome to join.

For better logistical arrangement, please RSVP to RIC by next Monday, September 22, 2014.

Sincerely Yours-In-Rotary,

PP Frankie Wu, Rotary Club of Taipo
