Rotary International President Elect Gary Huang has paid a visit to Mongolia on the first week of July. He was accompanied by his spouse Corinna and District Governor Eugene Fong along with Past District Governors.

Gary C.K. Huang, a member of the Rotary Club of Taipei has said to Rotary.org prior to his arrival “To increase our membership, we must go beyond borders to wherever we see growth potential, such as the countries of China, Mongolia, and Vietnam. I will put an emphasis on increasing female and younger members.”

He has visited Rotary project sites and attended the 10th anniversary gala dinner by Rotary club of Niislel. Gary also had a chance to see the Chinggis Khaan’s statue outside of Ulaanbaatar city, which is the biggest in the world.

The delegation joined Mongolian Rotaractors at their handover ceremony.  Rotaractors performed various dance and songs under the theme of “The 90’s.” The Taiwanese Rotarians have decided to offer a scholarship for a Mongolian student to study in Taiwan.

Rotary family in Mongolia is happy RIPE Gary Huang has visited Mongolia prior to his appointment and wish he returns during his term to our district and Mongolia.
